PDS COMPLETES VETERANS HEALTH CARE FACILITY

Thanks to Governor M. Jodi Rell and the federal government, the new Veterans Adult Care Facility has become reality. The 93,000 square foot facility was completed in June 2008 by PDS Engineering & Construction. The official grand opening was celebrated by Governor Rell, and many other military dignitaries in July 2008 at the Rocky Hill campus of Veterans’ Affairs. The new facility was designed by Moser Pilon Nelson Architects with Connecticut veterans in mind equipped with a state of the art Alzheimer’s unit, 50 two-bed patient rooms, and 25 private patient rooms. Nurse stations are strategically placed in the middle of all residential wings for patients’ convenience.
