| As an Estimator at PDS Engineering & Construction Inc. you will be working at the direction of the Chief Estimator, compiling estimates for hard bids on plan and spec projects, as well as conceptual estimates for design build and Construction Management preconstruction services.
PDS performs a wide range of commercial, industrial and institutional projects up to $60MM in size and utilize all manner of modern construction techniques

Responsibilites
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Perform detailed take offs utilizing digitizer or onscreen take off software
• Preparation of bid documents
• Review other's estimates for quality control
• Set up and input cost data into spread sheet and Timberline estimating software
• Maintain subcontractor data base and utilize ITB systems to ensure high level of bid participation
• Provide Support for sales department for development of conceptual estimates
• Provide Support for construction department in purchasing of subcontract and material items
• Maintain satisfactory relationships with subcontractors, and work in a team environment with other estimators, sales staff and project managers>

Qualifications
Qualified candidates must:
• have 5 years estimating experience for General Contractor performing Industrial-and Commercial Projects to $50,000,000.
• be computer literate, specifically shall be highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and capable of learning Timberline and other estimating software tools.
• have experience and understanding of all divisions of work, methods, materials.
• have strong math, reasoning, communication and spatial visualization skills.
